The second installation of the Inner Wheel Club of Singapore Central was held on 11 July 2020 at 3.30 pm via zoom in presence of over 60 Inner Wheel members and dignitaries from all over the world.

 

The event started with digital lighting of the candle and recitation of Candle of Friendship by IWCSC member Neeta Kapoor.

 

IWCSC VP Dr. Kajal Agarwal proposed the loyal toast to the President and Republic of Singapore. This was followed by toasts to International Inner Wheel and the present guests by IWCSC Asst. Secretary Dr. Agnieszka Banas and IWSC Treasurer Jessica Woon respectively.

 

In her address IWCSC President Rati indicated that the Projects of the Club for 20-21 will be centered around Sustainability and Environment protection, which are the crying need of the hour. She also introduced her new team.

 

This was followed by a video specially made for the occasion by Club Correspondent Natasha Karanjia featuring the members of IWCSC and Poem of Friendship composed by IWCSC Advisor Dr. Lucy Ooi. Masks for the video were sponsored by IWCSC VP Dina Thacker.

 

IWCSC ISO Kah Lin introduced our Guest of Honor Ms. Joanne Soo, who was a member of the first all-women team from Singapore to climb Mt. Everest in 2009. Ms. Soo in her inspiring speech recounted her experience of scaling the Mt. Everest.

 

Dr Lucy Ooi performed the lilting Singapore song ‘Home’, had everyone tapping their feet.

The program ended with a vote of thanks by IWCSC Secretary Kavita Bhojwani.

 

 

WELLNESS PROGRAM

 

As an extension of the Installation IWCSC organized a digital Wellness session on 18 July 2020 from 9.00 am -10.00 am.  In this session IWCSC Member Sindhu Vivek, a certified yoga instructor, conducted a relaxing and rejuvenating Yoga session. This was followed by a Mindfulness session by IWCSC member Neeta Kapoor, who is a Homeopath & SAC Registered Professional Counsellor. She is also a facilitator for the Art of Living Programs. This was an enriching session and a fitting finale to the second Installation of Inner Wheel Club of Singapore Central
