In accordance with our theme “Together We Can”  we can help the less fortunate amongst us and do our best to make a difference to their way of life.

We must realize the responsibility of building a valuable Membership where Friendship and service will benefit the Club and Society.

Come along with me FRIENDS,  NOW  AND  ALWAYS, let us walk our path together, realizing our Visions together making the difference for the less fortunate and to Society.

You hold my hands while I hold yours,  and may be,  we will see a rainbow behind every cloud  while the sun shines on the garden of Inner Wheel.

At First we planned our District 331- 8th Annual General Meeting with Great Fervour to be held on 21st March 2020 at the Raffles Town Club in Singapore. Due to Covid -19 thereafter we planned by Proxy and attendance by 10 members for 15th May 2020. Further due to more stringent measures imposed by the Government of Malaysia and Singapore:

WE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF OUR INNER WHEEL DISTRICT 331, CONDUCTED OUR INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL DICTRICT 331 -  8TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING VIA VIDEO CONFERENCING.

A BIG THANK YOU to our web-provider Cheng Yeok San for making this possible in such an efficient manner.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU DEAR MEMBERS, for attending and making a success of our HISTORICAL – 8th Annual General Meeting via Video Conferencing.

Also my dear friends, remember “MIRACLES HAPPEN TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE” Never Stop Believing.

Because the District Executive Committee believed in the above, our HISTORICAL - 8th District 331 Annual General Meeting via Video Conferencing was a GREAT SUCCESS. Being the first time for our District 331, a lot of hard work went into putting it together.

Just before the Covid-19 loomed on us,  managed to attend the District 330 Celebration in January 2020 for Inner Wheel Day in MALAYSIA with the opportunity to meet our INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL PRESIDENT PHYLLIS CHARTER and her spouse PDG PAUL CHARTER.

Last but not the least would like to thank my family and my husband PP Rustom Minocher Ghadiali for their continuous SUPPORT.

I reiterate my my sincere and heartfelt thanks to EACH AND EVERYONE OF DISTRICT 331 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS, FOR A JOB WELL DONE.

My thanks to each and everyone of you dear Friends for making my year in Office as your District 331 Chairman such a resounding successful one with the warmth and Friendship which shall .. FOREVER be Engraved and Cherished.

Sincere thanks also to our National Representative Juanita Lee.

Dear Friends,

“THE EARTH IS BUT ONE COUNTRY AND MANKIND—ITS CITIZENS”. Always remember, “Coming together is a BEGINNING, Keeping together is a PROGRESS, Working together is a SUCCESS”.

THE POWER of the PEOPLE is what sums up the International Inner Wheel Convention. The Convention brings an INTERNATIONAL FLAVOUR to District Conferences—it started at The Hague in 1970. You will certainly return back richer in Friends and Knowledge. Do make it a point to attend the 18th INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL CONVENTION in Jaipur, India, 3rd to 6th March 2021. I have completed my Official Visit to all Clubs in District 331. All along, I have been the recipient of warm friendship and caring concern. I have also been given the honour of inducting new members. Everywhere, I was made to feel at home. Thank You dear friends.

Overall the Clubs in District 331 are in a good state of health with their dedicated Members being STRONG and COMMITTED to Inner Wheel service. I am in favour of long-term projects where there is continuity for the recipients (wherever possible, hands-on projects).

To date, we have had two District 331 Executive Committee Meetings. On 22nd November 2019, I witnessed the Charter Nite of our "new baby on the block", namely, the Inner Wheel Club of Singapore Central. It was an honour and opportunity to induct Charter President Rati Asrani.

I felt privileged and glad to be able to represent District 331 as Chairman to the District 330 World Inner Wheel Day celebration organised by the Inner Wheel Club of Taiping, and a fellowship by the three Inner Wheel Clubs of Ipoh East, Ipoh and Ioras Ipoh in Ipoh. National Representative Juanita Lee and District 330 Chairman Padmini Menon were in attendance as also were other District 330 Club Presidents and Members. Past National Representative Rokiah Staun and Inner Wheel Club of Kota Kinabalu President Rachel Kumar from District 331 also attended. The HIGHLIGHT was the visit by International Inner Wheel President Phyllis Charter and her husband Rotary Past District Governor Paul Charter. They are a wonderful and friendly couple. We had a very vibrant and great fellowship with all.

A BIG THANK YOU to Honorary District Secretary Maria Hassanbhai and to the hardworking Distrct 331 Executive Committee—each and everyone of you.

Many thanks to District Annual General Meeting Organising Chairman Roshan Mistri and her able hardworking District Annual General Meeting Committee. Will always cherish your dedication and friendship.

Dear INNER WHEEL MEMBERS,

The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting every aspect of our lives AND has placed us in an unfamiliar place.

As people of action, we are most comfortable when we are fully engaged, moving freely, meeting openly and offering helping hands. These are very difficult times for people who, like us, are at our best when we are learning, growing, and serving—together.

We NEED to reach out and collaborate to offer immediate help to people in need at a rapid pace. These are precisely the skills needed all over the world today. The global effort against COVID-19 depends on actions taken in every country.

WE, AS INNER WHEEL MEMBERS, need to stay UNITED, CONTINUE to reach out and collaborate SMALL projects with Inner Wheel Clubs.

There are a number of examples where Inner Wheel Clubs are helping. We may also try our BEST to provide needed equipment or support and boost the morale of the front line as well as our dear janitors, cleaners, taxi drivers, ambulance personnel and many others.

Please continue as far as possible to DO YOUR PROJECTS EVEN in a small way. WE, WITH OUR INNER WHEEL SPIRIT, SHALL PERSEVERE to help others in need. Please showcase your projects however small on our WEBSITE by contacting our District Editor Janet Lim (soolim52@outlook.com) and send your project write-up to her to put it on our District 331 website through our web service provider, Yeok San.

Life has to go on… have courage and persevere on. Do your best.

It is firmly believed that the more we lose ourselves in something bigger than ourselves, the more Energy we will have. ---

The more we get involved and the harder we work the more energy we will have. We WILL all enjoy without feeling tired AND BE enthusiastic about our convictions.

We normally lose energy and become tired when life becomes dull and our mind gets bored doing nothing. Being enthusiastic about our convictions and empting our minds of fears, hates, insecurities, regrets and guilt feelings, we are able to fill our minds with creative and healthy thoughts.

May be, we endeavour to Volunteer often and use more of YES and less on NO.

I, SHIRIN RUSTOM GHADIALI, am really privileged to be your District 331 Chairman for 2019-2020. The future of Inner Wheel in our District 331 lies with each and every Member of the Inner Wheel Movement. We need to extend, we need your HELP.

This year, besides our Club Projects, let us concentrate on fellowship, Member Involvement and become richer in Friends. Let us increase our Membership keeping in mind dedication and WILLINGNESS to join in the FELLOWSHIP and coming forward to assist when the need arises.

Let us BUILD a “BOX OF FRIENDSHIP”.

Into this box of friendship – To ensure that it is strong, First put a LAYER OF RESPECT on the bottom. Then to the sides and in the corners where they meet, Let us put several ANCHORS full of TRUST – Devoid of all deceit. The HEIGHT of Friendship can be measured by the four sides, Therefore let us make them all of a larger cut and the box will hold much more.

NOW let us fill the BOX with COURTESY, HONOUR, ESTEEM, UNDERSTANDING, SYMPATHY AND PASSION FOR A DREAM. LEAVE the box wide open – So that all can see inside to learn what makes FRIENDSHIP work from the BOX BUILT with PRIDE.
